VBS2Combined Arms After Action Review
VBS2Combined Arms is seamlessly integrated with the VBS2 AAR functionality. The Instructor mode and the Stand Alone mode of VBS2Combined Arms are both able to record and play-back after action reviews.
The VBS2Combined Arms captures all the VBS2Combined Arms round detonations and injects them into the VBS2 AAR at the correct timings.
The general rule when operating the AAR in VBS2Combined Arms is to:
- Record and save in VBS2Combined Arms
- Load and playback though VBS2.
VBS2Combined Arms saves a separate VBS2Combined Arms AAR file which stores additional information to the standard VBS2 AAR file. For this reason, recording and saving of the AAR must be controlled through VBS2Combined Arms, so that it can manage the synchronization between VBS2Combined Arms and VBS2 while recording.
AAR can now be started from VBS2 RTE. If it is saved from RTE, it prompts the user to find the VBS2 AAR file. The AAR menu items are automatically updated based on the recording status of an AAR. AAR has the ability to display the projectile path and to jump to particular detonation time using the 'Fast Forward to Selected Detonation' button in the Projectile Analysis table.
VBS2Combined Arms will adjust the user interface to disable all menus which aren’t used by the VBS2Combined Arms AAR. It will re-enable these menus when VBS2Combined Arms is connected to a live simulation scenario.
